Rubix has acquired Bedu Pompen – a specialist supplier of (liquid) pumps to industries in the Benelux region – as part of the Group’s network development strategy.
Founded in 1981, Bedu Pompen is a leading distributor of industrial (liquid) pumps with a broad product portfolio and a particularly strong presence in the industrial, chemical, food and wastewater sectors.
With 35 employees the business generated sales of c. €10m in 2020.
The current owners, Marco Breunissen and Ron Bijen, will continue to lead the business. Marco will be the business unit manager and will report to Bjorn Emonts, Director, Fluid Power and Flow for Rubix in the Benelux. Ron will be the operations manager.
Commenting on the acquisition, Paul Van Der Rest, CEO Rubix in the Benelux & Nordics, said: “I am delighted to welcome my new colleagues from Bedu Pompen to the Rubix family. This acquisition will further develop our capabilities in the flow category, building on our earlier acquisitions of EFC and Geeve. With its strong presence in the industrial and wastewater sectors, it’s a natural extension of the offer we take to our existing customer base for industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul.”
Marco and Ron added: “This agreement is a great opportunity for us to continue our development and build on our successful track record. By combining our technical expertise with Rubix’s market leading position in the Benelux region, and relationships with blue chip customers, Bedu Pompen has substantial growth opportunities ahead.”
